Join us November 1 – 2, 2019 for a Mirabai Bush mindfulness workshop. A national leader in the mindfulness movement and co-author of several books with Ram Dass, she will create a time of shared discussion and practice on ways to keep our hearts open and minds clear in these challenging times. We can’t always change what is happening around us, but through simple practices and self-care, we can learn to be with it with more calmness, insight, and compassion.

With mindfulness and compassion practices, we can process our difficult emotions—anger, sadness, frustration– to see conditions with new eyes; we can learn to be more be adaptive, creative and focused on solutions. We can practice loving-kindness and good will as an antidote to hatred and fear. And we can remember together the importance of caring relationships, engaged community, and humor.

Mirabai Bush co-authored with Ram Dass Walking Each Other Home: Conversations on Loving and Dying, released in 2018. Ram Dass and Mirabai Bush began their friendship more than four decades ago with their teacher Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharaj-ji. He transmitted to them a simple philosophy: love everyone, tell the truth, and give up attachment to material things. After impacting millions of people through the years with these teachings, they have reunited once more with Walking Each Other Home to enlighten and engage readers on the spiritual opportunities within the dying process. They generously share intimate personal experiences and timeless practices, told with courage, humor, and heart, gently exploring every aspect of this journey.

Mirabai Bush is a key contributor to Google’s Search Inside Yourself curriculum. She has taught mindfulness in organizations including Hearst Publications, American Express, Mind and Life Institute, and Fetzer Institute.

A Senior Fellow and Founding Director of the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society, under her direction, The Center introduced contemplative practices into the fields of higher education, law, business, journalism, social justice activism, and the military.

Mirabai’s contemplative teachers include Neemkaroli Baba, S. N.Goenka, Kalu Rinpoche, Gelek Rinpoche, Kanai Sensei, and others.
